FARC Attacks Cause Ecuadoreans To Suffer

By Liz Sookin

on Armed Services:

Violent, brutal, vicious; these three words are appropriate to describe the Colombian terrorist group, FARC. Recently FARC has been wreaking havoc on the innocent Latin American nation of Ecuador.

The White House has stated its intention to only use “military engagement” as a last and unfavorable resort, an objective that will prove beneficial as is evident by recent developments.
Fresh news about the situation in Ecuador provides sufficient evidence eliminating any connection between FARC and Ecuadorean President Correa who was, until very recently suspected of supporting the group.

Even before the news that denied the president’s connection to FARC was released, the White House was willing to protect the innocent Ecuadoreans by any means possible, including diplomacy.

Due to the recent developments clearing the president of any blame, military engagement will most likely be pushed aside as it would cause unnecessary conflict.
