on Energy & Natural Resources:
The Republicans are not going to fizzle out in these coming years of politics. Anyone at the Committee of Energy and Natural Resources could easily tell that the Republican Party is pushing forward most of their ideas about what America’s policies should be. While the Democrats silently sit back and fire off a question or two before they drift off into the magical land of bipartisan acceptance.
The senators in the Committee of Energy and Natural Resources have currently been speaking about Carbon Emissions and have not touched on the subject of America’s Energy Infrastructure.
The two more outspoken senators in Republican Party were asked about what they think their party desires to push in the committee about America’s Energy Infrastructure’s future.
Republican Senator Micheal Enzi and Republican Senator Jim Bunning both responded that they believed the right direction for America is in the hands of the private sector.
Senator Enzi believes the government should have the least amount of interference in restructuring of America’s Energy Infrastructure and offer tax incentives for the private companies that can restructure their Energy Infrastructure.
Later when Senator Enzi was interviewed, she restated Senator Enzi’s views and then gave her own personal spin. She believed that the government should not impose on the state’s right to choose what energy source that the state wants to use.
Senator Bunning’s comments reflect the best interest for his state. His state, Kentucky, is a major coal producing state, and if the government makes them switch to an alternative energy source it would greatly affect Kentucky’s economy for the worse.
