Go, Go Power Gridders!

on Energy & Natural Resources:

With a true spirit of bipartisanship, The Committee of Energy and Natural Resources approached ideas on how to approach this issue.

Many Democrats and Republicans agreed that there should be some government regulation so that companies cannot bamboozle their consumers by having inflated prices. Many found this agreeable because of California’s and Connecticut’s former problems with privately owned companies and their skyrocketing prices.
However, a minority in the Republican Party wanted to deregulate the creation of the smart power grid system so that the increase in competition will force prices to a fair level.

These senators are facing huge obstacles of weaning the American people off fossil fuels and protection of the smart grid.

If the smart grid is created, America would switch over from fossil fuels to clean energy. Therefore there would be a greater push for electric automobiles and, at the same time, a push in the opposite direction that big oil companies would want.

Ideas from the Democrats on of how to deal with the big oil companies involve giving tax incentives for companies to switch over to electric energy.

Also, another problem deals with the protection of the smart grid. The senator from Connecticut even said, “One very determined terrorist can shut down the east coast.” In summary there could be bamboozlement of the highest order.

The senator in Connecticut is pushing for the committee to find ways to protect the smart grid.
